How the K-MO Platform Works — From Data Collection to Physician Review

The K-MO platform runs a continuous, monthly cycle of patient health data collection, AI-powered scoring, biometric verification, and physician-delivered reporting. Every step is connected — from the moment the patient records data in the app to the moment the attending physician opens their monthly DSM health report.

    Patient Identity Verification via Biosignbox

At each encounter, the patient authenticates their identity using the Biosignbox biometric sign pad. The patient’s biometric sign is recorded and will accompany the monthly health data package sent to the physician.

  2. 2

Three-Channel Health Data Collection via CMDnova

Throughout the month, patient health data is continuously collected through three channels:

PPain Mapping: patient-reported pain location, distribution, and intensity level, recorded via the K-MO patient app
QMedical Questionnaire (문진): structured health questionnaires capturing symptoms, functional status, health history, and medication adherence
RRemote Patient Monitoring: physiological data collected from the patient’s assigned RPM device throughout the month
  3. 3

    Server-Side Scoring via DSM-Inference X Engine

At the end of the monthly data collection period, the accumulated P, Q, and R data is processed on K-MO’s secure server by the DSM-Inference X engine. The engine scores the patient’s health data and generates a structured monthly health summary.

  4. 4

DSM Message Delivery to Attending Physician

The scored health summary, combined with the patient’s biometric sign collected through the Biosignbox, is compiled into a DSM message and delivered directly to the patient’s attending physician (주치의) — the complete monthly record, the DSM-Inference X health score, and the verified biometric patient signature.

  5. 5

    Monthly Physician Review

The attending physician reviews the patient’s full month of health data through the DSM message — pain mapping trends, questionnaire responses, RPM readings, the health score, and the biometric record — and uses this consolidated picture to guide ongoing care decisions, referrals, and follow-up.

Biosignbox

What Is the Biosignbox?

The Biosignbox is K-MO Medical Group’s proprietary biometric sign pad. It serves two essential roles within the K-MO platform: first, it verifies the patient’s identity at the point of care using biometric signature capture; and second, it records the patient’s biometric sign data, which is transmitted alongside the patient’s CMDnova health data package to the attending physician. This dual function is designed to ensure that health data delivered to the physician is accurately attributed to the correct patient and accompanied by a verified biometric record.

  • Biometric signature capture — verifies patient identity at the point of service
  • Records the patient’s biometric sign data at each encounter
  • Patient biometric sign is transmitted alongside CMDnova health data to the attending physician
  • Designed to ensure health data is verified, attributed, and tamper-evident
  • Supports digital consent capture as part of the sign-in workflow
  • HIPAA-compliant identity and biometric data handling
  • Integrated with the CMDnova platform and DSM message delivery system

All patient biometric sign data and health information processed through the Biosignbox platform is handled within a HIPAA-compliant, encrypted infrastructure.

Technology

CMDnova — K-MO’s Integrated Health Data Platform

CMDnova is K-MO Medical Group’s proprietary health data aggregation, scoring, and physician delivery platform. It operates year-round, continuously collecting patient health data from three input channels, processing that data through the DSM-Inference X scoring engine, and delivering a structured monthly health report to the patient’s attending physician via DSM message.

How CMDnova Works — The Three-Stage Process

STAGE 1 Continuous Data Collection (Three Channels)

CMDnova collects patient health data from three structured input channels throughout each monthly cycle:

PPain Mapping Data — pain location, distribution, and level entered via the K-MO patient app; a structured, time-stamped record of the patient’s pain experience over the month
QQuestionnaire (문진) Data — structured medical questionnaires covering symptoms, functional status, health history, and medication adherence
RRPM Device Data — physiological monitoring data collected from the patient’s assigned RPM device on an ongoing basis
STAGE 2 DSM-Inference X Scoring Engine

At the end of each monthly data collection cycle, the accumulated P, Q, and R data is transmitted to K-MO’s secure server and processed by the DSM-Inference X engine. The engine scores the patient’s health data and generates a structured monthly health summary — organizing the data into a clear, physician-readable format for clinical review.

STAGE 3 DSM Message Delivery to Attending Physician

The DSM-Inference X health summary is combined with the patient’s biometric sign data collected through the Biosignbox and packaged into a DSM message, delivered directly to the patient’s attending physician (주치의) — a complete picture of the preceding month, including pain mapping trends, questionnaire history, RPM data, and the overall health score.

The Goal — Monthly Physician Review

The purpose of the CMDnova platform is straightforward: to give the attending physician a complete, organized view of their patient’s health across every month of the year. Rather than relying solely on what can be discussed in a single office visit, the physician receives a structured monthly DSM health report — allowing them to track trends, identify changes, and coordinate care based on a full month of real patient data.

  • Year-round, continuous patient health data collection across three structured channels
  • P — Pain Mapping data collection via K-MO patient app
  • Q — Medical Questionnaire (문진) data collection via K-MO patient app
  • R — Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) data collection via assigned patient device
  • Server-side processing by the DSM-Inference X scoring engine
  • Monthly health score and structured summary generation
  • Biosignbox biometric sign integration — patient identity verified and included in every DSM message
  • DSM message delivery directly to the attending physician’s system
  • Monthly physician review cycle — full month of patient health data in one organized report
  • HIPAA-compliant data handling and encrypted transmission throughout

Because CMDnova operates as a continuous, year-round program, data collected through each channel accumulates over time — building a longitudinal health record that allows the attending physician to monitor patient health trends over time.
